Shivani Kaul is a Research Assistant on Gender Issues at IT for Change (Bangalore Office). Shivani completed her Bachelors degree in Political Science and South Asia Studies at Wellesley College, where she participated in research on women's agency within marginalized communities located in Uttara Kannada. She has studied youth political mobilization in Kashmir, and has facilitated student activism while interning with the Deshpande Foundation and Akshaya Patra. Her fieldwork with Pratham in Haryana and Action India in New Delhi included urban and rural surveying to evaluate nonformal literacy program potential.Shivani is an avid reader and amateur film critic, as well as an overenthusiastic (novice) photographer.
