Whether you're a seasoned sex differences researcher or are just beginning to consider "Sex as a Biological Variable," there has never been a more significant time to join the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences (OSSD<http://www.ossdweb.org/>). You can become a member or renew your membership now<https://ossd.memberclicks.net/index.php?option=com_mcform&view=ngforms&id=19171#/>.
Founded in 2006 by a diverse group of scientists and advocates, the OSSD is recognized internationally as the leading scientific and professional society promoting the study of sex as a biological variable. OSSD is a diverse community of basic and clinical researchers who address the impact of sex and gender on health, disease, and fundamental biological processes. As support for science and health care are in flux, it is more critical than ever that we come together to share our work, collaborate, and discuss the future of sex and gender differences research.
The OSSD hosts an annual meeting each spring. This May, join us in Montreal for our Annual Meeting<http://www.ossdweb.org/2017-meeting> hosted by Drs. Julie Cote and Jeff Mogil in collaboration with the Institute of Gender and Health at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. The theme of this year's annual meeting is "Sex Differences Across the Lifespan." Submit an abstract<http://www.ossdweb.org/ossd-2017-abstract-submission> and share your latest sex and gender differences data.
Membership benefits include:
1. A 30% discount on annual meeting registration;
2. Premium access to the latest research published in the official journal of the OSSD, the Biology of Sex Differences;
3. Travel and speaker awards for junior scientists and trainees at the annual meeting;
4. Access to cutting-edge research in sex-based biology;
5. Job networking;
6. Participation in educational and career development workshops;
7. Present your research in a forum filled with internationally recognized experts in the burgeoning field of sex-based biology.
Visit our website<http://www.ossdweb.org/> to learn more about our mission, the 2017 Meeting, and our open-access publication, Biology of Sex Differences.
