Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The Government of India would host the Third Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) at Mumbai in June 2018. In this regard, RIS is closely working with the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance, as the Knowledge Partner to organize eight thematic lead-up events and a number of host country seminars on different sectors of infrastructure in various parts of the country. As part of this series, RIS and CII would organize one and half day event on the theme ‘Futuristic, Resilient and Digital Infrastructure’ at Hotel Taj West End, Bangalore on 3-4 May 2018.

The event aims to seek participation of eminent experts, policy practitioners, bilateral partners, officials from central government, industry leaders and representatives of Multilateral Development Banks including AIIB to deliberate on the pertinent issues relating to financing, institutional and regulatory environment, technological options for sustainable future, financial sustainability and other relevant aspects.

Nandini Chami from IT for Change will be speak on “Financing Digital India and Next Generation Digital Infrastructure: Role of the Public and Private Sectors” and Parminder Jeet Singh from IT for Change will speak on “Technological Opportunities and Innovations for a Digital Future: Institutional Approaches on Resource Mobilization and Collaboration"
