IT for Change, an NGO that works on the integration of digital technologies for social change projects is hiring for the following positions in its EdTech-enabled teacher education and school development programs.

Sl no. 1

Program Assistant – Education: Language Educator – English

Job Profile:
1. Designing and facilitating EdTech-integrated classroom sessions focusing on building English language skills
2. Facilitating teacher professional development programs on integrating EdTech in language teaching-learning, as part of the education team
3. Creating and curating digital curricular resources in English
4. Visiting schools to assist teachers in integrating new pedagogies in the classroom. This will involve developing lesson plans, transacting, and documentation
5. Contributing to building teachers’ communities of practice within districts and across the state of Karnataka and other states in India

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or Social Work
2. 1–4 years of relevant experience in the school education sector

Key Skills and Attributes:
1. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is a must
2. Strong competence in language pedagogy with keenness to explore and adapt new pedagogical strategies and technologies
3. Deep understanding of and interest in education and Indian social contexts. Field experience in government school system would be a bonus
4. Knowledge/experience of using storytelling-based pedagogies for language teaching is preferred

5. Comfort in working with digital technologies (mobile and desktop based) with basic troubleshooting skills
6. Basic proficiency in working with digital technologies (mobile and desktop based), including tools for communication and digital resource creation (office suite, cloud apps, etc.)

7. People skills and ability to work with a team are essential

Note:
1. The place of work will be Bengaluru, with occasional travel across Karnataka and India as per project requirements
2. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and would not be a constraint for the right candidate.

Sl no. 3 & 4

Program Assistant – Education (MEL) (1- 2yrs experience)
Program Associate – Education (MEL) (3+ yrs experience)

Job Profile:
1. Conducting research on available data from government databases/documents and other sources
2. Understanding trends and developing monitoring and evaluation tools
3. Coordinating and undertaking regular needs assessments, baseline-endline surveys, impact studies, project evaluations, etc.
4. Setting up systems to manage information/data generated through the MEL
activities
5. Interpreting data, analysing results and trends using statistical techniques where appropriate and documenting the findings
6. Generating high-quality formal analytical reports on key program delivery outcomes as per defined calendar
7. Designing outputs and presentations based on analysis to disseminate knowledge and information to various stakeholders including programme management/ teachers/ government officials
8. Conducting periodic data quality assessments through pattern and outlier analysis to highlight possible risks in reporting that data

Qualifications and Experience:
• Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, or Economics or related field of study with relevant experience in the domain of education
• Relevant work experience: minimum 1–2 years for the Assistant position, and more
than 3 years for the Associate position. (M&E/MEL focused role, or data analysis/ research, or design/ monitoring/
scale-up of programs in education)
• Field experience in the implementation of education programs would be a bonus

Key Skills and Attributes:
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in working with spreadsheets
• Assessment, analysis, and visualization of quantitative and qualitative data. Knowledge of specific tools and statistical analysis and visualization software would be a bonus
• Data interpretation, presentation and reporting
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills in English
• Speaking proficiency in Kannada is mandatory
• Keenness to explore new processes and technologies
• Deep understanding of and interest in education and Indian social contexts. Familiarity with the government school system and educational policies would be a bonus
• People skills and ability to work with a team are essential
