Parminder Jeet Singh's latest research 'Economic Rights in a Data-based Society: Collective Data Ownership, Workers’ Rights, and the Role of the Public Sector' was presented and discussed at the conversation about 'Data Ownership: Corporate Control or Collective Ownership?', organized by Public Services International – PSI and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung – FES in Latin America.
The principal themes of this conversation were the emerging challenges in dealing with the control of mass data in the post-Covid world, concentration of power by a few large technology companies, and corporate control over workers’ data and the future of public services.
