Prakriye works with 10 Gram Panchayats (village-level local government bodies) in Hunsur and H.D.Kote blocks of Mysore, to strengthen their commitment to gender-responsive and inclusive local governance. We have also supported Panchayats in using GIS-enabled social audits and mobile info-outreach, as part of enhancing their accountability. We commenced this line of work in 2013, under the UN Women-supported project Making Women's Voices and Votes Count.
