B'AI Global Forum and University of Tokyo.

Anita Gurumurthy will be delivering the keynote lecture at the launch of the B'AI Global Forum 2021, at the session "Gender Justice in the AI Era: A dialogue on engagement and activism", on the topic of Feminist Futures in the Intelligence Economy, which will be followed by a panel discussion.

The panel will discuss what the necessary systems for a democratic operation of AI and other digital information technology are, what best practices exist that encourage women and social minorities to participate in IT technology and that offer an inclusive labor environment, and IT education for the realization of equity in AI development.

Other panellists for the session include:

  2. Akihiro Nakao (Professor, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, University of Tokyo)

The session will be moderated by Yuko Itatsu (Associate Professor, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo).

Opening remarks will be provided by Kaori Hayashi (Professor, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, University of Tokyo), and closing remarks will be provided by Yujin Yaguchi (Professor, Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, University of Tokyo).
