Anita Gurumurthy will participate in a session at the Global Just Transitions Seminar on 10 September 2024. The seminar series features movement and grassroots leaders from across the globe, who discuss issues related to climate and labor justice, worker rights, human rights, Indigenous sovereignty, etc.
The session on 10 September will focus on digital justice, with panelists diving into issues of digital rights, digital capitalism and colonialism, the real social and ecological impacts and hype of artificial intelligence, climate and AgTech, worker justice, and how grassroots and social movements are building technologies in non-extractive and regenerative ways that build community power and self-determination.
Besides Anita, Barbara Ntambirweki (ETC Group) and Sasha Costanza-Chock (One Project) will be participating in the discussion. The session will be co-facilitated by Samir Doshi of CS Fund and Gopal Dayaneni, Co-Founder of the Movement Generation Justice and Ecology Project.
