Parminder Jeet Singh will be participating in a panel discussing the distinction between personal and non-personal data, and the ways in which different countries have tried to regulate the flow of non-personal data.

Globally, laws pertaining to non-personal data are fragmented, and in most cases, this data is unregulated. The distinction between personal and non-personal data is interpreted differently from one country to the next. In this webinar, the panelists will discuss examples of non-personal data regulation from across the globe, bringing in perspectives from India and the EU.

Other panelists include:

  1. Michèle Finck, Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, Visiting Professor at LUISS University, Rome.
  2. Jean-Christophe Chevallier, Partner and expert in intellectual property and information technologies, Data Protection and Digital Economy at Ydès, France.
  3. Michael E. Nitardy, Lawyer and Chair of the Privacy and Data Security Team at Frost Brown Todd LLP, USA.
  4. Sergey Medvedev, Partner Trademark and Design Attorney, Ph.D. LL.M. at Gorodissky & Partners, Russia.
