The research initiative ‘Promoting Intersectional Development Research’ is a joint project between the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies (SCIS) and Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The objective of this project is to understand, inform and promote intersectional approaches to development research across different program initiatives of the IDRC.
Malavika Rajakumar and Merrin Muhammed Ashraf were invited to the fourth roundtable of the initiative to discuss the application of an intersectional approach for the project 'Combating Gender-based Hate Speech Against Women in India' and the opportunities, challenges, and trade-offs involved in adopting such an approach.
