Service Requirement: Video production
IT for Change is a Bengaluru-based NGO advancing digital rights, rooted in feminist principles and driven by a commitment to social justice.
We are documenting ground-level impact stories and key research insights from our project that explores technological interventions supporting female gig workers, farm workers, and cooperatives. We are looking for an experienced video production crew to help us document these stories of change across our field sites in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Pudukottai. We intend to capture the impact this has had on the lives of these workers and organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Production: Work closely with our team to understand the project requirements and context. The team should be agile and adaptable, ready to shoot without extensive prior location scouting, responding to field conditions and opportunities as they arise.
Production: Capture video and audio while our team conducts the interviews. The team should be observant and sensitive in capturing essential B-roll that enriches the narrative, and respecting the dignity and context of the participants and their spaces.
Post-Production: Handle all aspects of post-production including editing, color grading, sound design, and title graphics. This includes multiple review cycles with our team and delivering final content in formats optimized for different platforms.
Technical Specifications
Camera: Professional 4K camera equipment (Sony A7, equivalent or higher specification)
Audio: Professional grade equipment (Rode/Sennheiser/DJI lapel microphones or equivalent)
Lighting: Primarily natural light setups with minimal supplementary lighting
Deliverables
1. One long-form documentary of around 20 minutes. Multiple languages with subtitles
2. Ten short-form videos optimized for social media platforms
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in documentary filmmaking
- Strong post-production capabilities
