IT for Change (ITfC) is committed to combating money laundering and terrorist financing and complying fully with all applicable anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws and regulations.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that employees of ITfC comply fully with all applicable anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws and regulations applicable in the jurisdictions it operates.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all employees of ITfC as defined in the Code of Conduct, wherever located, with respect to their activities for or on behalf of ITfC or otherwise in connection with ITfC activities.
3. Policy
In order to comply with the requirements and obligations to prevent financial services from being used for financial criminal activities, including money laundering and terrorist financing, ITfC has established these guidelines.
- Suspicious activity monitoring and reporting: ITfC maintains an obligation to conduct transaction monitoring on an ongoing basis to detect, and maintains an obligation to report suspicious transactions to the appropriate regulatory body
- Record keeping: ITfC maintains appropriate records for the minimum prescribed record-keeping periods.
- Disciplinary action: Any employee/s found to be in violation of applicable laws or internal rules with regard to financial activities may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, and civil or criminal action as per law.
- Monitoring and audit: ITfC regularly conducts monitoring and testing including internal audits.
