UNCTAD Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy: Sixth Session

IT for Change participated and made a contribution to the sixth session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Digital Economy meeting conducted by UNCTAD from 10-12 May 2023.

The following were the substantive agenda items for the session:

• How to make data work for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
• Working Group on Measuring E-commerce and the Digital Economy.

To facilitate deliberations and the informal exchange of experiences and good practices on the topics to be discussed, member states and observers were requested to submit written contributions to the UNCTAD Secretariat, and our Executive Director Anita Gurumurthy submitted this input on ‘Shaping the data governance debate to maximize the development potential of data’.
