Cybercrime and the Existing Regulatory Landscape in India

CCAOI along with the AADYA Society Institute For Management and Legal Studies is organizing an online interactive discussion on ‘Cybercrime and the Existing Regulatory Landscape in India’ on 27 June 2023 at 04.30 PM IST.

The objective of the discussion is to sensitize the legal community, students, and interested community members in Assam on the types of new-age cybercrimes, the existing legal provisions available to tackle them including the redressal mechanisms available, and to delve into the lacunae in the existing regulatory processes to tackle new-age cybercrimes and deliberate how the laws should be framed.

IT for Change’s Malavika Rajkumar has been invited to take part in the panel discussion. Besides Malavika, Biraj Das, Superintendent of Police (Communications), Government of Assam; Shantanu Mathur, Senior Associate, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas; Rahul Sharma from Grade Ace Pvt Ltd; and Vijayant Singh from Ikigai Law will take part in the discussion. The session will be moderated by Amrita Choudhury.
