Our Research Associate Malavika Rajkumar participated in a virtual stakeholder consultation hosted by Equality Now on September 6, 2023. This event united civil society groups, academics, tech firms, UN agencies, and other pivotal players addressing online sexual exploitation and abuse (OSEA), tech-driven gender-based violence, and broader gender-based violence issues in India. The consultation aimed to delve into the experiences of women and girls concerning OSEA in India, understand the legal challenges and gaps in holding culprits accountable, and pinpoint priorities for legal and policy advocacy, emphasizing international law and mechanisms.
