Anita Gurumurthy will be taking part in a round-table discussion co-organized by UNESCO and Le Grand Continent on 21 September 2023 at 9.30 PM IST. The discussion is being organized as part of a seminar entitled ‘Human Sciences and Social Transformations’.
The session will focus on the effect that the development of digital social networks is having on social ties. Previous sessions of the seminar focused on the influence of artificial intelligence and climate change on social ties, examining cases such as the transformations in labor and climate-driven migrations.
The seminar brings together researchers and policy-makers from different continents to confront different points of view and scales of reflection on a given subject. Besides Anita, Sachin Chaturvedi, Moussa Bocar Thiam, and Christel Schalmedose will participate in the discussion.
