Special Representation for Feminist Foreign Policy of the Argentine Foreign Ministry and UNESCO
Nandini Chami participated in the High Level Symposium on 'Feminist Contributions in Artificial Intelligence: Epistemological and Ethical Justice of Equality,' from 2 to 3 October 2023. The event co-organized by the Special Representation for Feminist Foreign Policy of the Argentine Foreign Ministry and UNESCO, in collaboration with UN Women and the support of Fundación Sadosky and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Argentina, is aligned with the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence of UNESCO, the first global normative instrument to lay the foundations for AI systems to work for the sake of humanity, people, societies and the environment and ecosystems, as well as on the prevention of damage. The objective is the agreement of a document of gender and AI inputs and data governance that includes a feminist and human rights approach, to be elevated at the upcoming Summit of High Artificial Intelligence Authorities of Latin America and the Caribbean of October 2023 to be carried out in Chile.
