Global Digital Justice Forum’s Input to Rev 2 of Pact for the Future

IT for Change, through the Global Digital Justice Forum, submitted its input to the Co-Facilitators of the Summit of the Future on Rev 2 of the Pact for the Future. In its submission, the Forum flagged four critical areas where Rev 2 needs to intensify concrete commitments:

1. Remove intellectual property (IP) rights barriers that impede the transfer of digital technologies to developing countries
2. Scale up and fulfill official development assistance for digital infrastructure development.
3. Enforce a binding duty of care on transnational corporations to protect human rights across the entirety of their value chains
4. Recognize the linkages between the ongoing digital transformation and the exacerbation of the climate crisis
