Anita Gurumurthy has been invited to participate in the 11th Creative Theory Colloquium being organized by the Association of Creative Theory & Foundation for Creative Social Research; International Herbert Marcuse Society; The Raza Foundation; and Shanti Sahyog on 5 September 2024 at India International Centre, New Delhi.
Anita will be participating in the inaugural session panel discussion on 'Technology of Future and Future of Humanity.’
The 11th Creative Theory Colloquium aims to engage with the ongoing discourse on the pivotal role of technology in driving societal change. Technological innovation rapidly reshapes societal structures, economic models, and cultural norms, positively and negatively. The various sessions at the event will explore the intricate interplay between technological advancements and their broader impacts on society, comprehensively analyzing how these forces coalesce to drive transformation across various domains. Drawing on interdisciplinary approaches, including the history and philosophy of science and technology, economic growth and policy, ethics, and technology management, the event will elucidate the social forces that influence technological decisions and the spectrum of choices available to society in leveraging technology for sustainable development.
