Sadhana Sanjay, Lead-Policy and Engagement at IT for Change, was invited to speak at the Cross-Regional Dialogue on Feminist Digital Justice & Dignified Work in the Gig Economy organized by ActionAid UK on 4 March 2025. This online webinar was part of a preparatory CSW69 discussion on the centrality of feminist digital justice amidst the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
At this event, Sadhana reflected on the unique precarities and vulnerabilities that women encounter while navigating platformized workplaces, and the challenges they face while organizing and collectivizing to confront platform capitalism and its workings. Her intervention concluded with a reflection on fundamental labour rights and guarantees, and the regulatory steps that can be taken to ensure women's fundamental labour rights are protected in the platform economy.
