Core Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Ensure seamless coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Manage administrative processes and organizational workflows
- Demonstrate strategic judgment in managing day-to-day operations, collaborating with senior leadership on key initiatives and escalating matters when appropriate
- Collaborate with the Accounts and Human Resource teams to manage budgetary allocations, human resource management, and contractual aspects.
Event & Program Management
- Design and execute both intimate and large-scale events including conferences, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings
- Develop comprehensive event strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Manage end-to-end event logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Track and evaluate event outcomes and impact metrics
- Coordinate logistics and resources for on-ground and virtual events
- Work collaboratively with the research, communications, and program teams to ensure seamless coordination
Documentation & Compliance
- Oversee process documentation and project tracking systems
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
- Maintain clear documentation of event planning and execution processes
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, in the nonprofit space
- Proven track record of successful large-scale event execution
- Excellence in stakeholder communication and relationship building
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Strong decision-making capabilities with good judgment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Commitment to feminist principles
Desirable Qualifications
- Understanding of digital justice issues and the stakeholder landscape preferred
- Prior experience coordinating international events
- Oral and written fluency in Kannada
Education
- Master's degree in Management (with NGO experience) or in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field (with strong management experience)

Junior Consultant – Events & Research
We are looking for a recent graduate with an interest in the social and development sector, and prior experience with handling and organising events, to join our team as a Junior Consultant. This consultancy offers deep immersion into the space of digital rights and emerging narratives in this domain. The consultant will work on organizing two key events:
• A high-profile national event on digital public infrastructures, public innovation, and ethics
• A learning institute for early career women researchers.
In addition to holding administrative charge of these events, the Junior Consultant will also have a limited opportunity to engage in research work on the platform economy, as part of one of our ongoing projects.
Period: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
Location: Bengaluru

Responsibilities of trainee:
• Planning, organising and management of the national event and learning institute, including but not limited to:

Business Scenario Planning Consultant
IT for Change is looking for an experienced business consultant to support its work with three social enterprises, building alternative digital platforms across India as part of the project, 'Re-wiring India's Digitalising Economy for Women's Rights and Well-being.' The project is supported by the European Commission and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
This consultancy offers an exciting opportunity to contribute towards building and facilitating sustainable livelihoods of informal women workers and farmers. We are currently working with farmer producer companies and cooperatives as well as social enterprises across three partner sites.
Duration: 3 months
Location: The consultant can work remotely, but may be required to travel to project sites in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu for very short periods during the duration of the consultancy.
Scope of consultancy
- Work with the team to scope, design, and execute a business scenario mapping exercise that will take an ecosystem approach to determining future business scenarios and their enabling conditions for each of the partner sites
- Serve as a technical point person for business-planning-related exercises
Expected Outputs
- Work closely with the team to prepare final versions of the business scenario plans for each of our three partner sites
Qualifications and Requirements
- This consultancy requires an understanding of the intersections between digital technology and adoption and development project implementation, ideally in the agriculture value chain and/or the informal sector. The consultant must be familiar with digital platforms and app-based supply chains
- A Master’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of 10 years work experience in the social sector, preferably with impact assessment
- Strategic expertise in business development and/or tech-design experience for small farmers and informal workers
- Ability to liaise and communicate with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience of having authored similar outputs

Senior Research Associate - Labor Track
IT for Change is recruiting for the position of Senior Research Associate for our work on labor and worker rights in the digital economy. Our line of work on labor explores the future of work in the context of rapid digitalization across economic sectors, with a focus on worker data rights, algorithmic management, and securing fundamental labor guarantees for workers.
We are looking for a researcher with a keen and demonstrated interest in the digital economy, political economy, and the labor market, who has experience publishing both academic and non-academic pieces, and is comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will lead and support research on cutting-edge themes within this track, undertake socio-economic and legal analysis, and engage actively in national and global policy processes.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in the digital economy and contribute to nascent regulation and policy initiatives.
