Shobhit S. participated in a national consultation on the implementation of the Karnataka Platform Based Gig Workers (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2025, titled ‘Tripartite Governance and Social Security under the Karnataka Gig Workers Act’, with a focus on the institutional design and functioning of the Welfare Board on 28 March 2026 at Ashirvad Center, Bangalore. His intervention centred on strengthening workers’ collective access to platform data through the Board, including mechanisms for data disclosure, portability, and worker-led audits. Shobhit highlighted how robust data governance can enable transparency, support enforcement, and strengthen workers’ ability to exercise their rights under the law.
