Parminder Jeet Singh will be speaking at a session on Financing for Development and South Asia, as part of the series "South Asia Peoples Forum on the SDGs (SAPF 2020): Protecting Rights of the People in the time of Covid-19 crisis".
Focusing on the critical issue of financing key development objectives including but not limited to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this session will draw attention to the global financing for development process and link it to the South Asian context. In particular, it will look at issues such as aid, tax, debt, technology and trade, and how these can facilitate or hinder development objectives, from a global and regional policy perspective as well as felt by grass-root communities.
