Rountable on Harnessing AI for Social Empowerment

Sadhana Sanjay, our Lead - Research and Policy Engagement, spoke at a roundtable, ‘Harnessing AI for Social Empowerment‘ organized by Just Jobs Network & IDRC on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit on 17 February 2026 at the Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi. The roundtable was intended to explore how AI can be leveraged for social empowerment. Her input highlighted the perils of viewing individual applications of AI for good as a demonstration of its ability for social empowerment, warning that structural overhaul is necessary for the redistribution of AI's benefits.
